Built in 1747 (although the rear of the house dates back
to the 1600's) this imposing George 2nd grade 2 listed farmhouse is regarded as the most attractive and original
house in Elton village.
Painstakingly restored to its former glory the restoration project has managed to retain
almost all of its original features such as the stone fireplaces, flagstone floors, mullioned windows, oak beams and
more. Greengate Farm now appears to have changed little in the intervening three centuries excepting, of course,
for the addition of a few modern comforts!
Furnished mainly with antiques, the accommodation now comprises 2 good sized bedrooms,
one with double bed and one family bedroom with double bed plus a single and a guest bed
- sleeping 5 or 6 guests in total. There is a lovely bathroom with corner bath and electric shower, the house is centrally
heated throughout.
Outside is a south-facing patio with good sized garden. Parking is available on the street
outside the property or in the owner's alternative and large, private car park just 200 yards away.
